My Journey to Peace with Eh Canadian Peace
About Me
From a young age, art has been my passion, a thread woven through every stage of my life. Ottawa shaped me in many ways, providing a foundation for both my creative and professional journey.
Throughout my career, I worked primarily in Ottawa, dedicating years to my trade before transitioning to life as an artist. I held leadership roles as a Director with Voyageur Colonial Bus Line, Greyhound and Gray Line, where I managed operations and ran tours for both locals and tourists, showcasing the beauty and history of Ottawa. These roles allowed me to share my deep appreciation for the city with others, fostering a strong connection between people and the places they explored.
Before fully embracing my path as an artist, I worked extensively in mechanical and maintenance operations, where I honed my skills with precision and craftsmanship. This expertise led me to establish a successful consulting company, specializing in fleet maintenance and operations for major transportation providers, including Voyageur Colonial, Greyhound, Ontario Northland, and the Ottawa Transportation Company. Through strategic planning and preventative maintenance programs, I helped optimize efficiency and safety, ensuring reliable transit services for thousands of passengers.
Art, however, remained a constant in my life. I was honored to be a featured artist at the Canadian Tulip Festival, a significant moment in my artistic journey. This recognition allowed me to share my love for nature and mindfulness through my art, bringing peaceful and inspiring visuals to a broader audience.
Beyond my work in art and business, I’ve always believed in giving back. One of my proudest achievements was co-founding Suited for Success, an initiative dedicated to providing professional attire to individuals seeking a fresh start. Through our boutique, Funk Your Junk, we collected and distributed suits to job seekers, newcomers, and those overcoming personal hardships, helping them step into their next chapter with confidence. The success of this initiative was made possible through collaborations with organizations like United Way, the Bronson Centre, and Operation Go Home, as well as generous contributions from businesses such as Hillary’s Cleaners, which ensured each suit was in top condition. Though the program has since ended, its impact continues to resonate, reinforcing my commitment to sustainability, mindful living, and community care.
Upon retirement, I embraced a new chapter, becoming a vendor in the vibrant ByWard Market—an experience that has allowed me to connect with people from all walks of life and share my art in an intimate, meaningful way. For the past twelve years, this has been an integral part of my artistic journey. Eventually, I made the decision to move just outside of Perth, where I now reside, surrounded by the peace and serenity of nature. The shift from city life to the tranquility of the countryside has deepened my artistic inspiration, allowing me to fully embrace the rhythms of nature.
As a child, my involvement in Boy Scouts fostered a lifelong love for camping and the outdoors. Those formative years instilled in me a profound appreciation for nature and a sense of adventure that has continued throughout my life.
Discipline has always been my mantra, guiding me in everything I do. From earning a Master’s 4th-degree black belt in martial arts to running marathons, I’ve embraced every challenge with determination and focus. Living and experiencing seven decades, I feel incredibly blessed to walk this amazing path of life, eagerly looking forward to the next three.
In my teens, I began studying Eastern philosophy, a journey that deepened my love for mindfulness and spiritual growth, a practice I continue to cultivate daily. As a yoga teacher, meditation practitioner, and artist, I’ve dedicated myself to both physical and spiritual balance, always striving to connect deeply with the world around me.
Nature is my sanctuary. Living on a serene lake, I spend my days meditating, taking long walks, and riding my Harley Davidson along winding roads. These moments of peace and exploration fuel my artistic inspiration, allowing me to translate the beauty of nature into my work.
I’ve carved, painted, and studied at the School of Art in Ottawa, continuously evolving my style to reflect my love for simplicity, mindfulness, and nature.
Today, my art and lifestyle embody the peaceful rhythms of life. Through Eh Canadian Peace™, I share my journey with others, inviting them to embrace a life of balance, creativity, and connection.

The Studio and Its Story
In a small Canadian village blanketed by snow, a private studio rests quietly near the edge of a frozen lake. Inside, soft candlelight flickers as I guide a small group through sessions of mindful movement. Watercolor paintings of serene landscapes, snow-dusted trees, golden sunrises, and peaceful northern scenes, adorn the walls, creating a tranquil and inspiring atmosphere.
Eh Canadian Peace™ was born from a deep connection to the land and a desire to share its tranquility. It is more than yoga or art; it is a way of life. Each breath, each brushstroke, reflects the calm of Canada’s vast wilderness, a gentle reminder that peace can always be found, no matter how busy the world becomes.
